There is no such thing as replacement eyes, so it is very important to protect them at every stage of the tasks at hand. There are four main situations where eye injury can happen: when cutting or grinding, when using hand tools, when dealing with dangerous substances, and when exposing eyes to radiation. Risks can be avoided by wearing the right eye protection for each task, such as safety glasses, goggles and side shields.
