DROPS

Published on 05/04/22 1843 Views

DROPS can cause injury, be fatal or result in damage to equipment. Even the smallest object dropping at height can cause serious damage. In this video we will see practical ways of preventing DROPS from happening in three main categories: working at height, lifting operations and maintenance.

Ask yourself and your crew:

  • How can something like this happen here (e.g. on our site)?
  • What safety measures (i.e. procedures, controls/barriers) do we have in place to mitigate the risk?
  • How do we know the risk controls/barriers are working?
  • What improvements or changes should we make to the procedures, controls/barriers or the way we work?
