Energy-based hazard awareness
This video is designed to encourage conversations about energy-based hazards and potential blind spots prior to starting a job. Using a tool like the "Energy Wheel" can help as part of pre-job safety briefs and field level hazard assessments, by prompting us to scan our environment for all types of hazards. The Energy Wheel identifies 10 types of energy sources: temperature, gravity, motion, mechanical, electrical, pressure, sound, radiation, biological and chemical.
