What happened?
While drilling a hole in the floorplate for mounting an earth cable, the drill twisted.
This squashed the hand between the machine and the plate, causing a small cut between two fingers.
-
Why did it happen?
The required force to drill through the aluminium plate was strong, and the worker was not able to hold the drill.
This caused the drill to twist and squashed the hand between the machine and the plate.
The gloves worn were not of sufficient cut rating to protect the technician from injury.
