Atmospheric storage tank imploded during cleaning

After cleaning an atmospheric tank with steam, it was quenched with cold water to shorten the cooling time (not normal practice). The tank vent was not designed to withstand the vacuum created during the rapid cooling process, which caused the tank to collapse. A larger vent was installed after the incident.
